When I was a kid I suffered from some serious issues related to how I viewed my body and myself.
 
I was constantly striving to be "perfect".
 
I was that girl. The one you see reading every single thing on EVERY food label.
 
The girl spending countless hours in the gym doing just “one more set”. Pushing way too hard for way too long trying to burn off every calorie I had eaten.
 
Then it would be on to the next big FAD diet craze… I’ve juiced, I’ve cleansed, I’ve smoothied… I’ve over-exercised to the point of sheer exhaustion, all in the pursuit of what I thought at the time was the perfect body.
 
I was on TV at the time and when you’re “in the industry” there’s an incredible amount of pressure put on you to keep an outer image that’s physically as “perfect” as you can.
 
I had no idea the toll it was taking on my body at the time because …
I thought I was doing everything right.
I seriously thought I was doing all I could to be at the PEAK of physical health.
 
I was exercising like a fiend, eating all the “right” things but it seemed like the more I did, the more exhausted mentally and physically I ended up.
 
At the time it didn’t make any sense to me, because I was too obsessed with the outcome to take a real look at what I was doing to get there.
 
It took me hitting rock bottom and becoming unhappy, unhealthy and broke to truly start to discover my personal path to real health and well being.
